3 tomatoes. I was in Gisborne on a weekday so I thought I'd try a place that isn't open on Sundays... Mel, Shelley and I decided to dine at the Gifted Garden. It's a cafe that sells lots of little garden themed gifts and has delicious baked potatoes. Too bad I don't like potatoes...
The toilet could be described as kitsch, though not in a derogatory way. The whole place was quirky in style and the bathrooms matched. The back of the door was painted in a pink zebra print design. There was a sign up about using the old taps in the wash room next door to make sure you turn them off because of how old and drippy they can be! Antibacterial handwash was offered to replace the traditional soap and water.
The food was good quality, slightly pricey but home made. Hot coffee :) And the locals more than happy to chat. Nicely set up cafe with heater in a room on the side. Would have more atmosphere when the place is a bit busier...
